I’m going to be completely honest about this piece: it almost didn’t happen.

I started this painting twice, hated it both times, felt like I completely failed, and ended up scraping the canvas back to start all over again. It was frustrating, messy, and exhausting. But as I stood in front of the blank canvas for the third time, it hit me—this brutal process of failing, resetting, and fighting through the doubt is exactly what chasing a dream is actually about. Making your goals happen in the real world isn’t a flawless, elegant journey. It’s a gritty process of restarts, stubborn resilience, and finding the nerve to try one more time when you feel defeated.

Once I let go of making it “perfect,” the energy just flooded out. I chose this soft, minty-green background because, after all that frustration, I needed a calm, open space of a clean slate where anything was possible. Right in the center, that intense, chaotic explosion of textured, floral-like clusters is the breakthrough—the exact moment your hard work and stubborn passion finally burst into reality. The wild, dancing lines of bright yellow, vivid pink, and deep blue are moving with pure intention, tracking the erratic, electric path of real hustle and drive.

By blending fluid acrylics with the heavy, heavy texture of oils, I wanted to capture the raw contrast between quiet focus and bold, unfiltered action. This painting holds a piece of my own struggle, and I hope when you look at it in your space, it serves as a powerful, everyday reminder to never back down from your own potential, no matter how many times you have to start over.
